On Saturday July 8th we had our annual Garden Club outing to RHS Wisley and what a super day it was.

A glorious Summer day just right for a relaxed stroll round the grounds.  There was so much to see and due to Wimbledon and the Hampton Court Flower show also being on it wasn’t as busy as expected.  We enjoyed the many aspects of Wisley such as the amazing Glasshouse, filled with every exotic plant you could ever imagine, the Alpine Meadow, Exotic Garden, Model Gardens, Cottage Garden and Water Lily Pavillion to name but just a few.

The day was very enjoyable and the journey there and back was broken with a half hour stop, just right to make the whole outing perfect.  Dotted around Wisley were some wonderful art structures some of which could be purchased if desired.

At Wisley there are plenty of places to select a good meal or a snack, and of course the shop is always very popular selling many items of interest.  Thank you to Helen Staniforth who arranged this fabulous trip.
