This morning many members of the Gardening Club helped to fill the village hanging baskets with 16 Summer flowers in each. There are about 100 baskets and the team worked extremely well finishing the job by about 11am.

Our Chair Person Linda Barratt, Trevor Allcoat and the rest of the Committee would like to thank everyone for their sterling efforts today and for last week when the Winter baskets were all emptied. Thanks are also sent to Paul and his team at Thurlaston for supplying the plants. A reminder that on production of a valid club card there is a 5% to 10% discount on plants.

Below are a few action shots as we were near to completion.

We are usually very fortunate with the weather for the basket emptying and filling. Today our tea break in the trade store luckily coincided with a shower.

Linda and the Committee also wish to praise all those who were kind enough to make tea, coffee and bake a selection of very tasty cakes to keep our energy levels up.

We look forward to seeing Burbage in full bloom very soon.
